All of the road department's activities are located on Haskins Road, adjacent to Settlers Park. There are 10 employees who are responsible for maintaining 80 miles of township streets and 5 miles of county roads.
The group will: - asphalt or chip and seal streets on a cyclical basis
- clean ditches
- improve water flow
- trim overhanging limbs
- plow snow
- handle all other road-related maintenance projects
Funding for the department is from four voter-approved levies, each lasting for five years -- the levies provide $1.3 million annually.
