Road Department

All of the road department's activities are located on Haskins Road, adjacent to Settlers Park. There are 10 employees who are responsible for maintaining 88 miles of township streets and 10 miles of county roads for snow plowing only.

The group will:
  • asphalt or chip and seal streets on a cyclical basis
  • clean ditches
  • improve water flow
  • trim overhanging limbs
  • plow snow
  • handle all other road-related maintenance projects
Funding for the department is from three voter-approved levies, each lasting for five years -- the levies provide $1.3 million annually.
